#4.6 again
  • Now that you know how to do the problems, I am reassigning this section for HW this weekend. Make sure you get it done as you will have a quiz on this stuff on Tuesday! You might want to form a study group sometime over this long weekend. Go to Barnes and Noble, have a cafe mocha, order a piece of lemon cake, and have fun doing Geometry!

Construction Test

  • Please write the following statement on the bottom of the backside:
  • "I, _________, do hereby swear that ALL the constructions on this test were performed by me and me alone. If Ms. Chan finds this to be untrue, the consequences of this shall be a zero."
  • you and a parent/guardian MUST sign this statement before I will accept your test.

Have a wonderful long weekend!

Hee, yup. ^-^

Keenan, Jessica, and I were talking about this during English class. I would really, really prefer Saturday or Sunday. Does anyone know a large, quiet place we can meet? I can probably bring my laptop so we can still post on the blog just in case there are people who can't come.

Barnes and Noble sounds pre-taaay spiffy, actually. Nice tables, good food, and I need to buy a new book. XD Ahahahaa. So, yeah! We should make a list of where we can meet and who'll be there. We should finish that homework too, along with the test.

Hmm. Does anyone have a big house? XD We can all meet there, too. [And we can be fed--for freeee!]

Please contact me if you all decided something. ^-^

AIM Screename: Hikari Xia Neko. [If you can translate this, don't ask. XD I had this since I was like, ten, and I don't wanna change it.]

Ooh, and of course--

MySpace: XD BWAAAH. www.myspace.com/99680950

I'd throw in some phone numbers, but hey. XD This is the internet--I fear staaalk-khaaars! Ah-whiicka-wiicka-what!

Sincerely,
--Mary.

Hmm. Okie dokies. XD

I think we should at least vote on a day; tally them up. So, who prefers tomorrow, Sunday, or Monday? XDDD Monday might be a tad bit too late, though. I think tomorrow would be an ideal time, but I'm not sure if I can catch a ride. My Daddy has a doctor's appointment and I think my Mommy is working. [Carpool...? =D]

We should meet up obviously in the afternoon. Ooh! Although, if we meet at a plaza, we can go have dinner or catch a film afterwards. XD Reelaaaxaaation! Or Barnes and Noble is fine. XD Ahaha. I say some time around one or two? Should we all bring our books?

Sincerely,
--Mary.

Hmm. How about this?

Why don't we meet on Sunday instead? That way, each one of us can do the construction test and finish the homework [or as much as we individually possibly can] tomorrow. By doing that, we can help each other on the problems we couldn't finish on our own.

Gyaaah. This is too complicated. If not a public place, will someone be willing to offer their home to a bunch of rowdy teenagers? XD Ooh! And we can't forget to review our vocabulary, as well.

Sincerely,
--Mary.

XD Whoever's going for sure, make sure to exchange cell phone numbers so we can inform each other when we get there!

Ooh, and Dana. XD You have a wicked MySpace page. Thank you very much for the add! Ahahaha. XD

Briiing the moolah, people! XD Ahahaha. And, I'll bring my Geometry book and my laptop in case we need it.

I caaaan't wait to see you guys tomorrow. The construction test isn't so bad at all; I really expected it to be horrendous so I was panicking-going-haywire all week. XD;; Buuut. Yeah. XD I only need to do four more problems. [The only one I think will be an issue for me is number fifteen. ...*eyetwitch* I'm gonna cut it a slice of pizza. (And you probably won't get that unless you're British. XD)]

And we'll need to tackle Section 4.6, too. Because like Ms.Chan said, we'll be having a quiz on Tuesday. *...feels queasy!*

Ahahaha! XD Thank you, Dana. I'm checking my messages right now! I'll send you my digits once I get to it. Ooh! Which reminds me, don't forget to exchange numbers so we can call each other once we get there! [Barnes and Noble's a pretty big place. XD]

XD Ahaha. Woo-hoo~. Go Andres!

Let's see. [Dude. It's only eleven in the morning, and you're only a section away! You're wicked-fast. Hoh'snap, crackle, pop!]

Number Nine: Section 4.5--

Okie dokies. It's asking you to "determine the equation in slope-intercept form." The first thing you should do is to find the coordinates of the two points.

You know that (0,2) is one of them. And now determine the other point's coordinates. After you've done that, find the slope of the two points. [Delta Y/ Delta X]

After you find the slope of those two points, you can use point-slope form to find the equation using the slope you found and one of the points. (I recommend using [0,2]. XD)

If you need an example, don't hesitate to ask. ^-^

Sincerely,
--Mary.

Okie dokies, British. ^-^

The one in section 3.5 shows you how to do the equidistant method. So you can review that from pages 149 to 150. The rhombus method is from our notes Ms. Chan had given us on...dang. I forgot to write the date for this one, but it was for section 3.5. Okie dokies, give me a couple of minutes. I can't explain this without drawing some pictures on paint.

Step Two: Duplicate PQ from P and Q. [Compass Radius setting: Line PQ. Arc from points P and Q.]

Step Three: Duplicate PQ from point R. [Compass Radius setting: Line PQ. Arc from point R to creat point S.]

I didn't even remember it was President's Day tomorrow. Do you think they'd be closed...? I was thinking we could meet the same time tomorrow, but Keenan's Mommy's working and my Mommy and Daddy are probably going to be late, too. Hmm.

Well, if we can't meet at a public place, we could go over someone's house. I really want to go over section 4.6--and everything in chapter four. X__x;

If all else fails, we can always call each other and three-way. XD Er. Or...one, two, three, four, five, six, seven-way! XD

If we're meeting, I might be there around three, three-thirty, or four depending on when my Mommy comes home. Or I can just walk there if you guys plan on leaving a bit earlier. XD

Please tell me whether or not you guys are going. I would call you all, but considering it's nine, nearly ten in the morning on the weekend, I'm not sure who and who's awake. XD Talk to y'all later!

Hey everyone! I would have done the construction test with you yesterday, but I was really out of it, having gotten 8 staples put in my head the night before... Anyways, I'm ok, but could anyone please explain how I should do #12? Thanks so much!

For the construction test. Hmm. Number twelve, I highly suggest you construct an equilateral triangle. You know, a triangle has one eighty degrees, so each of the equilateral triangle's angles would be sixty degrees.
