look at your deffinitions for trapezoid, parallelogram and rectangle and see how they compare to the figure. hope this helps.

The slope of AB is 1 and the slope of CD is 1/3. They aren't negative reciprocals...?

hey mary, im still awake trying to catch up. yeah well i didn't sleep for nine hours but my bus came late today and i didn't get home til like 4 and then an hour later i had to go to dinner with my girlfriend and i dind't get picked up intil like 9 for some reason and yeah i had to wait till she got picked up at my house. so yeah, we had a great time. a really good meal and a great time waiting for her to leave my HOUSE!! lol yeah but anyways i started to open my book when i relized that i didn't have graph paper..yeah it sucks so i can't do my hw. but im just glad i get it. so yeah i just desided to do my hw from 3.8. might as well get caught up. i get it all just i need to do all the hw. all 3.8 part of 4.2 all 4.3 all 4.4 and 4.5 yeah..im screwed..its all bands fault...and i was depressed when my dog died.......but i guess i should really try and get caught up for now..but yeah oh well umm im going to be on for a loooooooooooooooong time. so yeah stay on!

Now, you'll need to use conjecture fourteen for a few of these problems. The conjecture is:
The centroid divides the Euler segment into two parts so that the smaller part is half as long as the larger part.
Very important information right there!
Number One:
Point M is the centroid. ^-^ So you know it divides such-and-such into two parts. The larger part being twice as long as the smaller part. The smaller part being half as long as the larger part.
CM=16
MO=10
TS=21
AM= -?-
SM= -?-
TM= -?-
UM= -?-
CM equals 16, right on CU, right? Well, you can see that CM is the larger part on CU and UM is the smaller part. What's the half of sixteen?
MO equals ten. MO is the smaller part on AO. So AM is the larger part. If AM is the larger part and you know the smaller one is equal to ten, what would AM be?

Number five is just asking you to name the point of concurrency she needs to find in order to locate the center of gravity. XD You don't need to go through all the trouble of drawing out a triangle and finding the centroid, [yes, the centroid does make sense] because that's the answer. XD
